Go Plant Refuse Vehicle Trolley

Case Study: Go-Plant Refuse Maintenance Trolley

Go-Plant Limited is a Leicestershire based UK leader in the provision of operated, self drive specialist road sweepers, refuge vehicles and plant hire equipment and are contracted to supply and maintain Pendle Council’s fleet of refuse and recycling vehicles.

They originally contactedhttp://www.go-plant.co.uk/images/st9.jpg us by phone having found our Hygienic Bin Washers online.

One of the main problems with the way most refuse vehicles are cleaned is they currently require an individual to climb into the back of them to perform any kind of maintenance. Obviously, this is a huge health and safety problem. Max at Go-Plant came up with a great solution with the design of a Mobile Refuse Trolley to allow easier and safer access. Go-Plant needed a sheet metal company that could fabricate the platforms as well as help modify the design where necessary.

Matt & John worked closely with Max to help iron out any slight problems in the original design and then build a prototype Mobile Platform for testing purposes. Once the prototype had been approved, Butler Sheetmetal built several platforms that were delivered to Pendle Council’s depot. All new trolley platforms can be modified accordingly dependent on the vehicle and borough council requirements. Take a look through the pictures to see how the platform looks and works:

Go-Plant now has a fully workable bin wagon maintenance solution that is a valuable additional service to their core business. They are also looking to sell their platforms, in partnership with Butler Sheetmetal, to councils throughout the UK.
