2005 Business Blogging Awards

Well I’ll go to the foot of our stairs.

Not only has somebody been kind enough to nominate The Tinbasher for the 2005 Inside Blogging Business Blogging Awards, but the judges have also seen fit to place it in the Best Small Business Blog Category.

Despite my previous misgivings about the idea of awards I’m really rather chuffed/honoured/grateful about being nominated and shortlisted and been impressed by the fist Jerermy C. Wright and Darren Barefoot have made getting the awards up and running.

Rather than coyly denigrate the whole affair by showing myself to be cooly aloof and self-deprecating, I’m going to ask for you to vote if you feel fit to do so.

Only yesterday I was watching Morgan Freeman talking about the best part of the Oscar process. He claimed that just being nominated was the biggest thrill involving the Academy Awards. Lying swine. False modesty can be quite ungracious at times.

I also have to say that I’d rather win some of the prizes on offer for the Inside Blogging Awards than a gold plated Yul Brynner.

The Tinbasher is also the only UK/European blog in the category. Therefore, it might be nice to show that those of us from the other side of the pond do ‘get it’.

I’m also rather happy to see Blog Business World and Small Business Trends absolutely caning the competition in their respective categories.

It seems that The Tinbasher is currently leading the poll. I honestly didn’t think my mother knew how to use a computer that well. So, for all those of you who have taken the time to vote so far, thank you. And, for all those who haven’t, but want to, you can go here to cast your vote.
