There’s some good news and some bad news.

One of the big boys, steelonthenet.com, informed me that they’d linked to The Tinbasher. Now that’s no great shakes, but the fact that they’ve linked to a few other steel-related blogs at least means things are moving in the right direction.

The good news is that Steel on the net has taken the plunge and started its own blog.

I think we can safely say a niche is starting to develop.

The bad/odd news is that Steel on the net is claiming to have had access to its site blocked by the Chinese authorities.

Is it time to start some ‘Bloggers of Steel’ group against the tyrannical oppression of steel industry news?

This is by no means as glib as it might sound. I was beginning to wonder where all my Chinese referrals had disappeared to, although I hadn’t really thought anything of it until now.

Anyway, as food for thought, and to get your heads round the current Chinese crackdown, please feel free to take a look how Microsoft is in cahoots with the censorial Chinese.
