Like some blog Jedi, for some unknown reason, I awoke this morning with a burning desire to find out if the new version of WordPress had been released. Once of a day it used to be nigh on impossible to get me to do anything at 5.30am other than come home from a night of debauchery. (There are also those who will say it used to be nigh on impossible to get me to do anything at 5.30pm either, but don’t believe a word of it).

I managed to bump my way over to the computer like a flame-retardent moth on a promise, and immediately checked my klipfolio. And there it was all over the place: WordPress 1.5 Strayhorn released. I chose to go and see what Robert French was saying about it over at infOpinions? as he’s a bit of a guru when it comes to all things WordPress and CMS. He’s also a damn good chap.

He’s also set up a blogdigger group for bricks and mortar businesses who are currently utilising a blog. So, if you happen to be a blogging business with a capital investment and premises, you can add yourself to the biz blog (sans consultants) group right now. He’s currently got his students feverishly scouring the internet for examples so, you never know, you might already be on it.

You can also leave your url in the comments and I’ll add it to my Real BusinessesThat Blog list on The Tinbasher.

Also, if you feel you’re being driven by some force to start a blog, you’d be more than well advised to go and check out Robert’s AuburnMedia Wiki on how to do it. There’s more stuff on there than you’d care to shake a stick at.

Blimey, I’d go back to bed, but it’s time for work.
