There seems to be an awful amount of second guessing as to what Flickr founder Stewart Butterfield meant in his Yahoo! resignation letter. Although I think it’s quite apparent he’s being overtly metalphorical:

Is this a real letter or a joke? If it is real, which I’m inclined to believe, I’m glad he resigned to pursue his passion of tin. He should start another tin business.

No, it’s a real letter, but he isn’t a real tinbasher.
