Well we’ve moved hosts once again and that’s the reason you’ve seen this blog spew out all manner of curious little messages. We’ve gone from a cheaper shared hosting option to a dearer halfway house between shared and dedicated -VPS hosting.

And blimey – it’s decidedly more complicated than your average shared hosting account. It’s a bit like going from being a learner driver with dual controls to a rally driver before you’ve passed your test.

So far, I’ve managed to break RSS feeds, databases and the odd mug. Thankfully, Rus at a2b2.com has been most understanding and extraordinarily fast with his responses and fixes to my daft questions and pleas for help.

You may also notice there’s another new look to the blog. It’s been changed again due to the RSS feeds breaking, the archives getting a bit long and an inability to search anything properly.

Even though it doesn’t look any different to a norm search bar, the ajax live search functionality means related posts scroll down as you type in your query. I think the problem of only being able to view one or two pages of archived content has been sorted too with the new archives page.

The comments are also a little on the funky side.

Anyway, there’s still plenty I’m working on – a flickr gallery and a page explaining blogs and rss to name but two – then it’ll be back to normal.

Do let me know if anything seems a bit odd….thanks.

UPDATE:
comments appear not to be working at the moment again.
