Considering I keep seeing referrel keywords for people wanting to know about scrap steel prices, I just thought I’d throw some figures out there because I’m such a lovely chap.
In November of last year we were talking $250 a ton, but recently it’s dipped to just below $200. The average price for steel scrap was $120 per ton in 2003, $90 in 2002 and $75 in 2001.

Mike, depends on where your at. Here in the midwest it ranges from 60-70 cents/lb. But farther North I have seen prices up to a buck a lb or even better

i have 2 stainless steel presure tanks they are only a few years old and they r complete with bolt on persure lids and stands and valves etc, that r in great condition ,still stamped ,they r 1/4 walled and they r 5000 gal each they have 2 weigh at least 10,000 lbs all stainless steel includeing the covers ,nuts ,valves etc . im in reno nv any idea of what i could get for them???

I dont open LOI’s. I don’t do any documentation for Ex-Im Bank guarantees on financing. Not interested in financing any dismantling of sugar cane, petrochemical or oil refineries.

Hi, I am in dire straights financially and I have a 1965 International bus that was converted into a motor straight off the assymbly line. It is about 18,000 lbs empty. I would be willing to bet that a 1/3 of that is 3 1/4 plywood. The kind of plywood they had in the late 60′s. 1/3 rd of it would be the alluminum casing that the bus is encased in. The rest would be the drive train and frame. I am in Las Vegas Nevada, and could use the money in order to not get evicted from my home. And waiting for the SSDI to send me to the doctor to be able to get my disability.
I need to work on getting it started so to be able to bring it where ever. I am on the north side which is good as most of the scrapyards are up here. (I think?) I guess you could say it is kind of an emergency so here’s my phone number 702-560-8868
