    (2)What is the bend force required to have bend for the different thickness,
    (3) How to bend a sheet metal against the metal grains

    anyone have a chart of standard bending radius?. i.e.
    stainless 15 Gauge @ 0.0703 has available bends @ .075; .10; .125; .15; .20
    I am building sheet metal bending excel sheets and insight would help.

    Formula for load calculation for bending to 90 degrees :

    Load = (length x sq of thickness x Yield strength x K) / die opening .

    K is constant varying from 1.2 to 1.33
    For safer load calculation ( applicable for all materials) take K as 1.33 .

    I hope this information may be all right for you.
