Sheet Metal Fabricators Around Cleveland, Ohio Wanted

I’m looking for a sheet metal fabrication shop around my new parish of Cleveland for the fabrication of our stainless steel planters, rusted planters and zintec metal planters. (Tinpot Alley)

We’re unable to service any American enquiries from over here, so it’d be ideal for me to find a fabricator with the kind of experience and quality to cobble together our planters and other bespoke metalwork.

Most of our current planter enquiries are custom made-to-measure but you wouldn’t have to deal with those as that’d be my bag. You’d only have to deal with me. ;-)

I do have a sample somewhere to be able to show you, but the current fabrication required involves lasering, bending (16swg and 18swg), welding, polishing, shotblasting and painting. Not every planter requires everything doing to it, but it would be nice to source everything under one roof or at least have somebody who can outsource certains bits without a problem.

What’s in it for you?
You’d get our American enquiries to quote on and fabricate – if successful.
You’d also get quite a few Tinbasher mentions (in fact, we’d market your core services like one of our own), which could be rather handy for the right company.

What’s in it for me?
I’d still have a works’ Christmas do to attend.

Please ask any other questions you might have in the comments or via email: tinbasher@butlersheetmetal.com and I’ll get back in touch with you. Then you can shout me lunch.

I probably haven’t covered everything here but I’m rather keen to get this show on the road.

Paul, very interesting opportunity, I’m just winding down an auto rustoration biz here in Cleveland, (buckle of the rust belt), to do carbon fiber cars and biofuels full time. I have extra clean commercial space, there is a lot of empty space in town, and know where most of the few remaining panel beaters and tig weldors are hiding. Also have done racecars, architectural amenities and sculpture fabrication, I may be able to assist you in staffing up, 440-865-1482

Thanks for that. I’ve sent you an email.

I wasn’t thinking of starting a full blown manufacturing operation so much as getting an existing firm . However, if it’s just half as busy as the guys are over here at the moment then it could be a full-time concern for a couple of folks.

I’m also looking at getting the different parts of the manufacture done at different places, but would also like to have an in-house gaff for the more complicated stuff.

An American version of Butler Sheetmetal would be what I’m looking for……then again. ;-)

I’m also very interested in the biofuel motors.

    We shall chat.

I represent a tin mill steel service center that is currently in Newark, NJ, but in the process of relocating our production operation to Canton, Ohio (about one hour drive south of Cleveland). We are a processor (sheet and slit coil) and distributor of tinplate, TFS, etc. We will be operational in Canton by March 1, 2007.

Our company is TPC Metals, Inc. http://www.tinplate.com

We have many years of experience in the North Aamerican market with both suppliers and manufactureres. Perhaps I could help you with finding a production partner and the supply of steel you may need.
