Summer holidays in the northern hemisphere, high stocks and the weakening of raw material prices are combining to send stainless steel markets into the doldrums.
It’s a shame I’m not currently in Blighty so that John can tell me if he’s seeing our suppliers scrambling for quotes with lower prices.
You’re also more than welcome to ask John about the fall in stainless steel prices if you just so happen to ring him about a job.
But, I bet he’s almost on the ball seeming he always rings round for the latest prices on every single job anyway.
It’s nothing to do with getting the best deal for the customer, I think he just likes to gas.
Anyway, has a bit more to say about how things were very different last summer and how suppliers like to forge “partnerships”.

I have about 30,000 lbs. of stainless steel (17-4PH & 4140 mainly) for sale. I am located in Boca Raton, Florida.
