Lockdown in Sector 4!

You’ve got the power in there
Waving your wand in the air
Time after time those fanatical minds
Try to rule all the world
Telling us all it’s them who’s in charge of it all
i got a trick, a magic stick, that will make them all fall
We got the power now motherfuNkers

So you try and logging in to your Gmail account only to be met (after a considerable period of time) with the rather ominous sounding LOCKDOWN IN SECTOR 4 error message telling you that you might be incapable of accessing your Gmail for up to 24 hours.
What’s with the lame sci-fi reference masquerading as error message thing all about for starters? I don’t have an email account to suddenly find myself in a bad episode of Blake’s 7.
I’ve also found that Google’s Gmail service has been hiding emails that have been forwarded from other accounts and has been leaking spam into my inbox as easily as a whoopee cushion leaks rasping air after an unassuming Gordon plonks their backside on it.
Yes, you can search Google for the term lockdown in sector 4 and you’ll find quite a few different explanations as to what might trigger the draconian measure.
To be honest, I don’t really care. At the end of the day, if they keep this up then I’ll stop using Gmail and so will quite a few others I assume.
For the time being you might have to bear with me if you’ve sent me an email as I’ll have to trawl through everything/wait for it to appear. I’m not ignoring anyone !
