Stainless Steel Backsplashes, Plinths and Hobs for the Kitchen

These stainless steel backsplashes and plinths are rather easy on the eye and even easier for us to make. (That’s obviously the most important thing, right? ;-) )
Stainless Steel Kitchen Plinth
John’s Kitchen.

Sick of my sister’s incessant whining to finish the kitchen off and owning his own sheet metal shop, John sought inspiration from a stainless steel planter he’d made and applied said inspiration to his plinths.

Butler Sheetmetal does a lot of catering stainless work, and so they know how to clad a kitchen. It’s also quite easy for them to cut backsplashes to size and send them to you in the post.

Buckminster Fullerene or Football?

Buckminster Fullerene or Football

The world can be divided into two types of people - those whose think the above is a Buckminster Fullerene and those who think it’s a football.

And those who think it’s just an overpriced planter.

Visit our sister site, Tinpot Alley, to view more stainless steel and metal planters.

Workplace Showcase

It’s high time I provided a more specific category showcasing the kind of sheet metal fabrication work the boys at Butler Sheetmetal Ltd are capable of.

It’s all too easy for various posts about certain jobs to get lost in the archives and I just think it might be easier if it’s all under one category. Of course, you can always have a gander at the portfolio page of the main site but that only has a fairly small and dated selection of previous jobs.

It’ll only be an online mirror of what John does back at Butler Sheetmetal - essentially a job book.

Time to upload those pictures off my camera methinks.

Bespoke Metal Outdoor Seating

Here are some bespoke metal seats made from 16mm mild steel that are to be sunk into concrete and placed together somewhere in the Midlands. (I think!)

Here’s the lovely John sporting one of the seats as they’re supposed to be sported before being sent to the painters.

And here’s Craig holding the finished article the right way round before it winged it’s way down to Birmingham.

Zintec Planters

Here’s a little job that we’re currently on with at the moment. It’s for an assortment of 27 zintec planters to be painted matt black for a garden architecture firm down in London.

If you’re wondering who the guy is to the left lacking a posterior, it’s Matt.

They’re due to go for painting some time this afternoon.

We received the enquiry just before Christmas and sent them a sample once they were happy with the quote.

Stay tuned for pics once they’re finished!
