I’ve come to the conclusion that blogging has sent me a little dolally. At 9.45 p.m. last night I suddenly realised I hadn’t eaten for most of the day, which, as anybody who knows me might tell you, is a touch unusual. I become an unbearable grouch without food, but when I’m doing blogging related bits and bobs, it doesn’t seem to bother me. ( Hmmmm. Note to self. ‘ Blog Yourself Thin’ – how blogging can help you shed those unwanted pounds. I’ll get round to writing it after Christmas.)
Anyway, I decided to get myself an Indian and promptly rang to order myself the Monday Night Balti Special. A brief silence befell the conversation before the chap on the other end of the phone said, “But it’s Tuesday, mate.” I wasn’t quite prepared for this wisecrack and panicked for a back-up meal whilst spluttering like a shamed Boris Johnson about how I thought it was Monday. Mercifully he took pity on me and said I could have it anyway. It was also the quickest curry I’ve ever received – and a damn good one too. So, Spice Island of Colne Road, Burnley – good job.
Back to the point in question, all this blogging, although terribly enjoyable, is starting to pull me in all sorts of directions and I’m getting appreciably busier because of it all. Don’t get me wrong, I love this little blog and I’ll stay up til the small hours of the morning if need be. I just think a spot of delegating could come in handy.
Now this is where YOU, The Tinbasher’s loyal readership can come in quite handy!
I want you to send me your contributions regarding projects, work tales, annoying bosses, apprentices who weld their nostrils together – anything you have relating to the industry will be gladly accepted. I’ll even change the names to protect the innocent. As you well understand, discretion is the better part of valour. Links to other resources and sites are also welcome.
The Tinbasher can become a real community to share experiences. I already appreciate all the feedback I receive and I really do think some of it is deserving of a wider audience. So why not utilise this little space on the web to show what a truly talented bunch Tinbashers are. And how entertaining you can be!
