A couple of Columbus steel firms seem to be facing the wrath of the EPA in Ohio.
[Other] environmental violations in the consent order are storing hazardous waste without a permit, failing to identify hazardous waste, shipping hazardous waste to a landfill not permitted to accept it and polluting the waters of the state through storm water runoff from the facility into the Blacklick Creek.
I do remember the time when the EHA came round here cutting out great chunks of our floor to check if toxic waste had been dumped on this site a while back.
I hasten to add that nothing was found and that they were kind enough to give us our concrete cores back, but I can’t go into too much detail.
Let’s just say it had something to do with a chap called Coco who dumped quite a bit of toxic waste into a landfill then sold the land to housing developers only for them to realise what had gone on when it was a little too late.
