Lockheed Martin’s open source source social media tool is called Eureka Streams. The open source project site is http://www.eurekastreams.org/. There is a online demo where you can try out the software. You can also go to http://www.eurekastreams.org/participate/ and download the software.

I quite like that X-planes link as well. I haven’t heard anything else either on the Lockheed thing. I’d have been tempted to release it at the same time as the announcement to be honest – or at least give people a flavour. Saying that, it’s probably available for download as we speak!

I had missed the Lockheed announcement, although I haven’t seen a follow-up yet. Given the complexities of defense work (and security concerns) this could be a very interesting platform. Loved the x planes link.
